[마8:1-34, 우리말성경]
1 예수께서 산에서 내려오시자 큰 무리가 따라왔습니다.
2 그때 한 나병 환자가 다가와 예수 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 말했습니다. "주님, 원하신다면 저를 깨끗하게 하실 수 있습니다."
3 예수께서는 손을 내밀어 그 사람에게 대시며 말씀하셨습니다. "내가 원한다. 자, 깨끗하게 되어라!" 그러자 곧 그의 나병이 나았습니다.
4 그때 예수께서 그 사람에게 말씀하셨습니다. "이 일을 누구에게도 말하지 않도록 조심하여라. 다만 가서 제사장에게 네 몸을 보이고 모세의 명령대로 예물을 드려라. 그것이 그들에게 증거가 될 것이다."
5 예수께서 가버나움에 들어가셨을 때 한 백부장이 예수께 와서 도움을 청했습니다.
6 백부장이 말했습니다. "주여, 제 종이 중풍병으로 집에 누워 몹시 괴로워하고 있습니다."
7 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다. "내가 가서 고쳐 주겠다."
8 그러자 백부장이 대답했습니다. "주여, 저는 주를 제 집 안에 모실 자격이 없습니다. 그저 말씀만 하십시오. 그러면 제 종이 나을 것입니다.
9 저도 위로는 상관이 있고 밑으로는 부하들이 있는 사람입니다. 제가 부하에게 '가라' 하면 가고 '오라' 하면 오며 하인에게 '이것을 하라' 하면 그것을 합니다."
10 예수께서 이 말을 듣고 놀랍게 여겨 따라온 사람들에게 말씀하셨습니다. "내가 진실로 너희에게 말한다. 이스라엘에서도 아직까지 이렇게 큰 믿음을 본 적이 없다.
11 내가 너희에게 말한다. 많은 사람들이 동쪽과 서쪽에서 모여들어 하늘나라에서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱과 함께 앉을 것이다.
12 그러나 그 나라의 아들들은 바깥 어두운 곳으로 쫓겨나 거기서 슬피 울며 이를 갈 것이다."
13 그리고 예수께서는 백부장에게 말씀하셨습니다. "가거라. 네가 믿은 대로 될 것이다." 바로 그 시각에 그 종은 병이 나았습니다.
14 예수께서 베드로의 집으로 들어가셔서 베드로의 장모가 열병으로 앓아누워 있는 것을 보셨습니다.
15 예수께서 그 장모의 손을 만지시자 열이 내렸고 장모는 곧 일어나 예수를 섬기기 시작했습니다.
16 날이 저물자 사람들이 예수께 귀신 들린 사람들을 많이 데려왔습니다. 예수께서는 말씀으로 귀신을 쫓아내셨고 아픈 사람들을 모두 고쳐 주셨습니다.
17 이는 예언자 이사야를 통해 하신 말씀을 이루시려는 것이었습니다. "그는 몸소 우리 연약함을 담당하셨고 우리의 질병을 짊어지셨다."
18 예수께서 많은 무리가 자신을 둘러싸고 있는 것을 보시고 제자들에게 호수 건너편으로 가라고 명령하셨습니다.
19 그때 한 율법학자가 예수께 다가와 말했습니다. "선생님, 선생님이 가시는 곳이라면 어디든 따라가겠습니다."
20 예수께서 대답하셨습니다. "여우도 굴이 있고 하늘의 새들도 보금자리가 있지만 인자는 머리를 둘 곳이 없구나."
21 다른 제자가 말했습니다. "주님, 제가 먼저 가서 아버지의 장례를 치르게 해 주십시오."
22 그러나 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다. "죽은 사람들에게 죽은 사람을 묻게 하고 너는 나를 따라라."
23 그러고는 예수께서 배에 오르셨고 제자들도 뒤따랐습니다.
24 갑자기 바다에 큰 폭풍이 일어 배 안으로 파도가 들이쳤습니다. 그러나 예수께서는 주무시고 계셨습니다.
25 제자들이 가서 예수를 깨우며 말했습니다. "주님, 살려 주십시오. 우리가 빠져 죽게 생겼습니다!"
26 예수께서 대답하셨습니다. "왜 그렇게 무서워하느냐? 믿음이 적은 사람들아!" 그러고는 일어나 바람과 파도를 꾸짖으셨습니다. 그러자 호수는 아주 잔잔해졌습니다.
27 사람들은 놀라며 서로 수군거렸습니다. "도대체 저분이 누구시기에 바람과 파도까지도 저분께 복종하는가?"
28 예수께서 호수 건너편 가다라 지방에 이르셨습니다. 그때 무덤에서 나오던 귀신 들린 두 사람이 예수와 마주쳤습니다. 이들은 너무 사나워서 아무도 그 길을 지나다닐 수 없었습니다.
29 그런데 그들이 소리를 질렀습니다. "하나님의 아들 예수여, 우리가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있습니까? 때가 되기도 전에 우리를 괴롭히려고 여기까지 오셨습니까?"
30 거기에서 멀지 않은 곳에 큰 돼지 떼가 먹이를 먹고 있었습니다.
31 귀신들이 예수께 간청했습니다. "만일 우리를 쫓아내시려거든 저 돼지들 속으로 들여보내 주십시오."
32 예수께서 그들에게 "가라!" 하고 말씀하셨습니다. 그러자 귀신들은 그 사람들에게서 나와 돼지들에게로 들어갔습니다. 그리고 돼지 떼는 일제히 비탈진 둑으로 내리달아 호수에 빠져 죽었습니다.
33 돼지를 치던 사람들은 마을로 뛰어 들어가 이 모든 일과 귀신 들린 사람들에게 일어난 일을 알렸습니다.
34 그러자 온 마을 사람들이 예수를 만나러 나왔습니다. 그리고 예수를 보자 그 지역을 떠나 달라고 간곡히 부탁했습니다.

[Matthew 8:1-34, NLT]
1 Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside.
2 Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. "Lord," the man said, "if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean."
3 Jesus reached out and touched him. "I am willing," he said. "Be healed!" And instantly the leprosy disappeared.
4 Then Jesus said to him, "Don't tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed."
5 When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him,
6 "Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain."
7 Jesus said, "I will come and heal him."
8 But the officer said, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.
9 I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, 'Go,' and they go, or 'Come,' and they come. And if I say to my slaves, 'Do this,' they do it."
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, "I tell you the truth, I haven't seen faith like this in all Israel!
11 And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world—from east and west—and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven.
12 But many Israelites—those for whom the Kingdom was prepared—will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
13 Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, "Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened." And the young servant was healed that same hour.
14 When Jesus arrived at Peter's house, Peter's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever.
15 But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for him.
16 That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick.
17 This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said,"He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases."
18 When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he instructed his disciples to cross to the other side of the lake.
19 Then one of the teachers of religious law said to him, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go."
20 But Jesus replied, "Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head."
21 Another of his disciples said, "Lord, first let me return home and bury my father."
22 But Jesus told him, "Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead."
23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples.
24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"
26 Jesus responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!" Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
27 The disciples were amazed. "Who is this man?" they asked. "Even the winds and waves obey him!"
28 When Jesus arrived on the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gadarenes, two men who were possessed by demons met him. They came out of the tombs and were so violent that no one could go through that area.
29 They began screaming at him, "Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God's appointed time?"
30 There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding in the distance.
31 So the demons begged, "If you cast us out, send us into that herd of pigs."
32 "All right, go!" Jesus commanded them. So the demons came out of the men and entered the pigs, and the whole herd plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water.
33 The herdsmen fled to the nearby town, telling everyone what happened to the demon-possessed men.
34 Then the entire town came out to meet Jesus, but they begged him to go away and leave them alone.

1 예수께서 배를 타고 호수를 건너 자기 마을로 돌아오셨습니다.
2 사람들이 중풍 환자 한 사람을 자리에 눕힌 채 예수께 데려왔습니다. 예수께서는 그들의 믿음을 보시고 중풍 환자에게 말씀하셨습니다. "얘야, 안심하여라. 네 죄가 용서받았다."
3 이것을 보고 몇몇 율법학자들이 속으로 말했습니다. '저 사람이 하나님을 모독하고 있구나.'
4 예수께서 그 생각을 알고 말씀하셨습니다. "왜 그런 악한 생각을 품고 있느냐?
5 '네 죄가 용서받았다' 하는 말과 '일어나 걸어가라' 하는 말 중에 어느 말이 더 쉽겠느냐?
6 그러나 인자가 땅에서 죄를 용서하는 권세를 가지고 있음을 너희에게 알려 주겠다." 그리고 예수께서 중풍 환자에게 말씀하셨습니다. "일어나 네 자리를 들고 집으로 가거라."
7 그러자 그 사람은 일어나 집으로 돌아갔습니다.
8 이를 보고 무리는 두려워하며 이런 권능을 사람에게 주신 하나님께 영광을 돌렸습니다.
9 예수께서 그곳을 떠나 길을 가시다가 마태라는 사람이 세관에 앉아 있는 것을 보셨습니다. 예수께서는 마태에게 "나를 따라라!" 하고 말씀하셨습니다. 그러자 마태가 일어나 예수를 따랐습니다.
10 예수께서 집에서 저녁을 잡수실 때에 많은 세리들과 죄인들도 와서 예수와 그 제자들과 함께 음식을 먹었습니다.
11 이것을 본 바리새파 사람들이 예수의 제자들에게 물었습니다. "어째서 너희 선생님은 세리들과 죄인들과 함께 어울려 먹느냐?"
12 이 말을 듣고 예수께서 말씀하셨습니다. "건강한 사람에게는 의사가 필요하지 않으나 병든 사람에게는 의사가 필요하다.
13 너희는 가서 '내가 원하는 것은 제사가 아니라 자비다' 하신 말씀이 무슨 뜻인지 배워라. 나는 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니라 죄인을 부르러 왔다."
14 그때 요한의 제자들이 예수께 와서 물었습니다. "우리와 바리새파 사람들은 금식을 하는데 왜 당신의 제자들은 금식하지 않습니까?"
15 예수께서 대답하셨습니다. "신랑이 함께 있는데 어떻게 결혼 잔치에 초대받은 사람들이 슬퍼할 수 있겠느냐? 그러나 신랑을 빼앗길 날이 올 것이다. 그때에는 그들도 금식할 것이다.
16 낡은 옷에 새로운 천 조각을 대고 깁는 사람은 없다. 그렇게 하면 새로운 천 조각이 낡은 옷을 잡아당겨 더 찢어지게 된다.
17 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 담는 사람도 없다. 그렇게 하면 부대가 터져 포도주가 쏟아지고 부대도 못 쓰게 된다. 그러니 새 포도주는 새 부대에 담아야 둘 다 보전된다."
18 예수께서 이 말씀을 하고 계실 때에 갑자기 회당장 한 사람이 와서 예수 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 말했습니다. "제 딸이 방금 죽었습니다. 그러나 오셔서 아이에게 손을 얹어 주시면 다시 살아날 것입니다."
19 예수께서 일어나 그와 함께 가셨습니다. 제자들도 뒤따랐습니다.
20 바로 그때, 12년 동안 혈루병을 앓고 있던 한 여인이 예수 뒤로 다가와 예수의 옷자락을 만졌습니다.
21 여인은 '예수의 옷자락만 만져도 내가 나을 것이다'라고 생각한 것입니다.
22 예수께서 돌아서서 그 여인을 보시며 말씀하셨습니다. "딸아, 안심하여라. 네 믿음이 너를 구원했다." 그 순간 여인은 병이 나았습니다.
23 예수께서 그 회당장의 집으로 들어가셨습니다. 그곳에서 피리 부는 사람들과 곡하는 사람들을 보시고
24 예수께서 말씀하셨습니다. "물러가라. 이 소녀는 죽은 것이 아니라 자고 있는 것이다." 그러자 사람들이 비웃었습니다.
25 예수께서는 사람들을 집 밖으로 내보내시고 방으로 들어가 소녀의 손을 잡으셨습니다. 그러자 소녀가 일어났습니다.
26 그리고 이 소문은 그 지역 온 사방으로 널리 퍼졌습니다.
27 예수께서 그곳을 떠나 길을 가시는데 눈먼 두 사람이 예수를 따라오면서 소리 질렀습니다. "다윗의 자손이여, 우리에게 자비를 베풀어 주소서!"
28 예수께서 어떤 집으로 들어가시자 눈먼 사람들도 따라 들어갔습니다. 예수께서 그들에게 물으셨습니다. "내가 너희를 보게 할 수 있다고 믿느냐?" 그들이 예수께 대답했습니다. "그렇습니다. 주님!"
29 그러자 예수께서는 그들의 눈을 만지시며 말씀하셨습니다. "너희 믿음대로 되라."
30 그러자 그들의 눈이 열렸습니다. 예수께서는 엄히 당부하셨습니다. "이 일을 아무도 모르게 하라."
31 그러나 그들은 나가서 예수에 대한 소문을 그 지역 온 사방에 퍼뜨렸습니다.
32 그들이 떠나간 뒤 사람들이 귀신 들려 말 못하는 사람을 예수께 데려왔습니다.
33 그리고 예수께서 귀신을 쫓아내시자 말 못했던 사람이 말을 하게 됐습니다. 사람들은 놀라서 말했습니다. "이스라엘에서 이와 같은 일을 본 적이 없다."
34 그러나 바리새파 사람들은 "그가 귀신의 왕을 통해 귀신을 쫓아낸다"라고 말했습니다.
35 예수께서 모든 도시와 마을을 두루 다니시며 회당에서 가르치시고 하늘나라 복음을 전파하시며 모든 질병과 아픔을 고쳐 주셨습니다.
36 예수께서 무리를 보시고 그들을 불쌍히 여기셨습니다. 그들이 목자 없는 양처럼 시달리고 방황하고 있었기 때문입니다.
37 그때 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨습니다. "추수할 것은 많은데 일꾼이 적구나.
38 그러므로 추수할 주인에게 추수할 들판으로 일꾼을 보내 달라고 요청하라."

[Matthew 9:1-38, NLT]
1 Jesus climbed into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town.
2 Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, "Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven."
3 But some of the teachers of religious law said to themselves, "That's blasphemy! Does he think he's God?"
4 Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, "Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts?
5 Is it easier to say 'Your sins are forgiven,' or 'Stand up and walk'?
6 So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins." Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, "Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!"
7 And the man jumped up and went home!
8 Fear swept through the crowd as they saw this happen. And they praised God for giving humans such authority.
9 As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector's booth. "Follow me and be my disciple," Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him.
10 Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners.
11 But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with such scum?"
12 When Jesus heard this, he said, "Healthy people don't need a doctor—sick people do."
13 Then he added, "Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: 'I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.' For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners."
14 One day the disciples of John the Baptist came to Jesus and asked him, "Why don't your disciples fast like we do and the Pharisees do?"
15 Jesus replied, "Do wedding guests mourn while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
16 "Besides, who would patch old clothing with new cloth? For the new patch would shrink and rip away from the old cloth, leaving an even bigger tear than before.
17 "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved."
18 As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt before him. "My daughter has just died," he said, "but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand on her."
19 So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him.
20 Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe,
21 for she thought, "If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed."
22 Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, "Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well." And the woman was healed at that moment.
23 When Jesus arrived at the official's home, he saw the noisy crowd and heard the funeral music.
24 "Get out!" he told them. "The girl isn't dead; she's only asleep." But the crowd laughed at him.
25 After the crowd was put outside, however, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she stood up!
26 The report of this miracle swept through the entire countryside.
27 After Jesus left the girl's home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, "Son of David, have mercy on us!"
28 They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, "Do you believe I can make you see?"
"Yes, Lord," they told him, "we do."
29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "Because of your faith, it will happen."
30 Then their eyes were opened, and they could see! Jesus sternly warned them, "Don't tell anyone about this."
31 But instead, they went out and spread his fame all over the region.
32 When they left, a demon-possessed man who couldn't speak was brought to Jesus.
33 So Jesus cast out the demon, and then the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed. "Nothing like this has ever happened in Israel!" they exclaimed.
34 But the Pharisees said, "He can cast out demons because he is empowered by the prince of demons."
35 Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
37 He said to his disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few.
38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields."





[마10:1-42, 우리말성경]
1 예수께서 열두 제자를 부르셔서 그들에게 더러운 귀신들을 쫓아내는 권능을 주시고 모든 질병과 모든 아픔을 고치게 하셨습니다.
2 열두 사도들의 이름은 이렇습니다. 먼저 베드로라고도 하는 시몬과 그 동생 안드레, 세베대의 아들 야고보와 그 동생 요한,
3 빌립, 바돌로매, 도마, 세리 마태, 알패오의 아들 야고보, 다대오,
4 열심당원 시몬 그리고 예수를 배반한 가룟 사람 유다입니다.
5 예수께서 이 12명을 보내시며 이렇게 지시하셨습니다. "이방 사람들의 길로 가지 말고 사마리아 사람이 사는 마을에도 들어가지 말고
6 오직 이스라엘 집의 잃어버린 양들에게 가라.
7 가서 '하늘나라가 가까이 왔다'고 전하라.
8 아픈 사람들을 고치고 죽은 사람들을 살리고 나병 환자들을 깨끗하게 고치며 귀신들을 쫓아내라. 너희가 거저 받았으니 거저 주라.
9 너희는 주머니에 금도 은도 동도 지니지 말라.
10 여행 가방도 여벌 옷도 신발도 지팡이도 챙기지 말라. 일꾼이 자기가 필요한 것을 받아 쓰는 것은 당연한 일이다.
11 어느 도시나 마을에 들어가든지 그곳에서 마땅한 사람을 찾아내어 떠날 때까지 그 집에 머무르라.
12 그 집에 들어갈 때는 평안을 빌라.
13 그 집이 평안을 받을 만하면 그 평안이 거기 머물 것이고 그렇지 않으면 그 평안이 너희에게 되돌아올 것이다.
14 누구든지 너희를 환영하지 않거나 너희 말에 귀 기울이지 않으면 그 집이든 그 마을이든 떠날 때 발에 묻은 먼지를 떨어 버리라.
15 내가 진실로 너희에게 말한다. 심판 날에 소돔과 고모라가 그 도시보다 차라리 견디기 쉬울 것이다.
16 내가 너희를 보내는 것이 양을 늑대 소굴로 보내는 것 같구나. 그러므로 뱀처럼 지혜롭고 비둘기처럼 순결해야 한다.
17 사람들을 조심하라. 그들은 너희를 법정에 넘겨주고 회당에서 너희를 채찍질할 것이다.
18 그리고 너희는 나 때문에 총독들과 왕들 앞에 끌려가 그들과 또 이방 사람들에게 증인이 될 것이다.
19 그러나 그들에게 잡혀가더라도 무엇을 어떻게 말할까 걱정하지 말라. 그때에 너희가 말할 것을 일러 주실 것이다.
20 말하는 이는 너희가 아니라 너희 안에서 말씀하시는 너희 아버지의 영이시다."
21 "형제가 형제를, 아버지가 자식을 배신해 죽게 만들고 자식이 부모를 거역해 죽게 만들 것이다.
22 너희는 내 이름 때문에 모든 사람에게 미움을 받을 것이다. 그러나 끝까지 견디는 사람은 구원을 받을 것이다.
23 이 도시에서 핍박하면 저 도시로 피신하라. 내가 진실로 너희에게 말한다. 너희가 이스라엘의 모든 도시들을 다 돌기 전에 인자가 올 것이다.
24 제자가 스승보다 높을 수 없고 종이 주인 위에 있을 수 없다.
25 제자가 스승만큼 되고 종이 주인만큼 되면 그것으로 충분하다. 그들이 집주인을 바알세불이라 불렀거늘 하물며 그 집안사람들에게는 얼마나 더 심하겠느냐!
26 그러므로 그런 사람들을 두려워하지 말라. 감추어진 것은 드러나지 않을 것이 없고 숨겨진 것은 알려지지 않을 것이 하나도 없다.
27 내가 어두운 데서 말한 것을 너희는 밝은 데서 말하고 내가 너희 귀에 속삭인 것을 너희는 지붕 위에서 외치라!
28 육체는 죽여도 영혼은 죽일 수 없는 사람들을 두려워하지 말고 오직 영혼과 육체를 한꺼번에 지옥에 던져 멸망시킬 수 있는 분을 두려워하라.
29 참새 두 마리가 앗사리온 동전 한 개에 팔리지 않느냐? 그러나 너희 아버지의 뜻이 아니면 그 가운데 한 마리도 땅에 떨어지지 않는다.
30 또한 하나님은 너희 머리카락 수까지도 다 세고 계신다.
31 그러므로 두려워하지 말라. 너희는 많은 참새들보다도 더 귀하다.
32 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 시인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 시인할 것이다.
33 그러나 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 부인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 부인할 것이다.
34 내가 이 땅에 평화를 주러 왔다고 생각하지 말라. 나는 평화가 아니라 칼을 주러 왔다.
35 나는 아들이 아버지와, 딸이 어머니와, 며느리가 시어머니와 서로 다투게 하려고 왔다.
36 그러므로 사람의 원수는 자기 집안 식구가 될 것이다.
37 누구든지 나보다 자기 부모를 더 사랑하는 사람은 내게 합당하지 않다. 나보다 자기 아들딸을 더 사랑하는 사람도 내게 합당하지 않다.
38 또 누구든지 자기 십자가를 지지 않고 나를 따르는 사람도 내게 합당하지 않다.
39 자기 목숨을 얻으려는 사람은 그 목숨을 잃을 것이요, 나를 위해 자기 목숨을 잃는 사람은 그 목숨을 얻을 것이다.
40 너희를 영접하는 사람은 나를 영접하는 것이고, 나를 영접하는 사람은 나 보내신 분을 영접하는 것이다.
41 누구든지 예언자를 예언자로 여겨 영접하는 사람은 예언자의 상을 받을 것이고 누구든지 의인을 의인으로 여겨 영접하는 사람은 의인의 상을 받을 것이다.
42 내가 진실로 너희에게 말한다. 누구든지 내 제자라는 이유로 이 작은 사람들 중 하나에게 냉수 한 그릇이라도 주는 사람은 반드시 그 상을 놓치지 않을 것이다."

1 Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness.
2 Here are the names of the twelve apostles:first, Simon (also called Peter), then Andrew (Peter's brother), James (son of Zebedee), John (James's brother),
3 Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew (the tax collector), James (son of Alphaeus), Thaddaeus,
4 Simon (the zealot), Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him).
5 Jesus sent out the twelve apostles with these instructions: "Don't go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans,
6 but only to the people of Israel—God's lost sheep.
7 Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
9 "Don't take any money in your money belts—no gold, silver, or even copper coins.
10 Don't carry a traveler's bag with a change of clothes and sandals or even a walking stick. Don't hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve to be fed.
11 "Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a worthy person and stay in his home until you leave town.
12 When you enter the home, give it your blessing.
13 If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing.
14 If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave.
15 I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day.
16 "Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.
17 But beware! For you will be handed over to the courts and will be flogged with whips in the synagogues.
18 You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell the rulers and other unbelievers about me.
19 When you are arrested, don't worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time.
20 For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
21 "A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed.
22 And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved.
23 When you are persecuted in one town, flee to the next. I tell you the truth, the Son of Man will return before you have reached all the towns of Israel.
24 "Students are not greater than their teacher, and slaves are not greater than their master.
25 Students are to be like their teacher, and slaves are to be like their master. And since I, the master of the household, have been called the prince of demons, the members of my household will be called by even worse names!
26 "But don't be afraid of those who threaten you. For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
27 What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!
28 "Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.
30 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
31 So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
32 "Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.
33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
34 "Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
35 'I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!'
37 "If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.
38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.
39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.
40 "Anyone who receives you receives me, and anyone who receives me receives the Father who sent me.
41 If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet. And if you receive righteous people because of their righteousness, you will be given a reward like theirs.
42 And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded."






예수님께서 치유 사역을 통하여 능력을 나타내십니다. 나병 환자에게 손을 대셔서 병을 고쳐주시기도 하고, 말씀만으로 병든 사람을 고쳐주시기도 합니다. 가버나움의 한 백부장이 자기 하인의 병 고침을 위해 예수님께 나아와 “다만 말씀으로만 하옵소서.”라고 청하자, 예수님께서는 백부장의 믿음을 칭찬하시고, 즉시 말씀으로 그의 하인을 고쳐주십니다. 그 밖에도 베드로의 장모, 가다라 지방의 귀신 들린 자, 중풍 병자, 혈루증 걸린 여인, 두 맹인을 고쳐주시고, 심지어 죽은 사람도 살리십니다.
사복음서에 나오는 예수님의 기적 2/3가 치유 사역일 만큼 예수님의 치유 사역은 그 비중이 컸습니다. 일찍이 이사야 선지자는 “장차 오실 그분이 채찍에 맞음으로 우리가 나음을 입게 될 것”(사 53:5)을 예언했습니다. 이 예언은 예수님을 통해 성취되었습니다. 주님의 치유 능력을 통해 우리는 예수님께서 사망 권세를 이기시고 부활하신, 진정한 생명의 주인이시라는 사실을 알게 됩니다.

예수님께서는 직접 ‘손’으로 병자들을 만지시고 고쳐주십니다.

생명의 주인 되신 예수님, 우리의 연약한 것을 친히 담당하시고 우리를 위협하는 온갖 육신의 질병과 마음의 질병으로부터 우리를 치유해주세요. 주님의 긍휼을 간구합니다.
