[눅7:1-50, 우리말성경]
1 예수께서 듣고 있던 사람들에게 이 모든 말씀을 마치고 가버나움으로 들어가셨습니다.
2 그곳에는 백부장 한 사람이 있었는데 그가 신임하는 종 하나가 병이 들어 거의 죽어 가고 있었습니다.
3 백부장은 예수의 소문을 듣고 유대 장로들을 예수께 보내 자기 종을 낫게 해 달라고 부탁했습니다.
4 장로들이 예수께 와서 간곡히 부탁했습니다. "이 사람은 선생님이 그렇게 해 주실 만한 사람입니다.
5 그는 우리 민족을 사랑하고 우리 회당도 지어 주었습니다."
6 예수께서는 그들과 함께 가셨습니다. 예수께서 그 집에서 멀지 않은 곳에 이르렀을 때 백부장은 친구들을 보내 예수께 이렇게 아뢰도록 했습니다. "주여, 더 수고하실 필요가 없습니다. 저는 주를 제 집에 모실 자격이 없습니다.
7 그래서 제가 직접 주께 나아갈 엄두도 못 냈습니다. 그저 말씀만 하십시오. 그러면 제 하인이 나을 것입니다.
8 저도 상관 아래 있으면서, 제 아래에도 부하들이 있는 사람입니다. 제가 부하에게 '가라' 하면 가고 '오라' 하면 오고 하인에게 '이것을 하라' 하면 합니다."
9 예수께서는 이 말을 듣고 백부장을 놀랍게 여겨 돌아서서 따라오던 사람들에게 말씀하셨습니다. "내가 너희에게 말한다. 이스라엘에서도 이렇게 큰 믿음을 본 적이 없다."
10 백부장이 보냈던 사람들이 집으로 돌아가 보니 그 종이 벌써 나아 있었습니다.
11 그 후에 예수께서는 곧 나인이라는 마을로 가셨습니다. 제자들과 많은 무리가 예수를 따라갔습니다.
12 예수께서 성문 가까이에 이르셨을 때 사람들이 죽은 사람 한 명을 메고 나오고 있었습니다. 죽은 사람은 한 과부의 외아들이었습니다. 그리고 많은 마을 사람들이 그 여인과 함께 상여를 따라오고 있었습니다.
13 주께서 그 여인을 보고 불쌍히 여기며 말씀하셨습니다. "울지 마라."
14 그러고는 다가가 관을 만지셨습니다. 관을 메고 가던 사람들이 멈춰 서자 예수께서 말씀하셨습니다. "청년아, 내가 네게 말한다. 일어나거라!"
15 그러자 죽은 사람이 일어나 앉아 말하기 시작했습니다. 예수께서는 그를 그의 어머니에게 돌려보내셨습니다.
16 그들은 모두 두려움에 가득 차 하나님을 찬양하며 말했습니다. "위대한 예언자가 우리 가운데 나타나셨다! 하나님께서 자기 백성을 돌봐 주셨다."
17 예수에 대한 이 이야기가 온 유대와 그 주변 지역에 널리 퍼져 나갔습니다.
18 요한의 제자들이 모든 소식을 요한에게 알렸습니다. 요한은 제자들 중 두 사람을 불러
19 주께 보내며 "선생님께서 오실 그분이십니까? 아니면 저희가 다른 사람을 기다려야 합니까?"라고 물어보게 했습니다.
20 그 사람들이 예수께 와서 말했습니다. "세례자 요한이 저희를 보내 물어보라고 했습니다. 선생님께서 오실 그분이십니까? 아니면 저희가 다른 사람을 기다려야 합니까?"
21 바로 그때 예수께서 질병과 고통과 악한 영들에게 시달리는 사람들을 많이 고쳐 주시고 보지 못하는 많은 사람들도 볼 수 있게 해 주셨습니다.
22 예수께서 요한이 보낸 사람들에게 대답하셨습니다. "돌아가서 너희가 여기서 보고 들은 것을 요한에게 전하라. 보지 못하는 사람이 다시 보고 다리를 저는 사람이 걷고 나병 환자가 깨끗해지며 듣지 못하는 사람이 듣고 죽은 사람이 살아나고 가난한 사람들에게 복음이 전파된다고 하라.
23 나로 인해 걸려 넘어지지 않는 사람은 복이 있다."
24 요한이 보낸 사람들이 떠나자 예수께서는 사람들에게 요한에 대해 말씀을 시작하셨습니다. "너희가 무엇을 보려고 광야에 나갔느냐? 바람에 흔들리는 갈대냐?
25 그렇지 않으면 무엇을 보려고 나갔느냐? 좋은 옷을 입은 사람이냐? 아니다. 화려한 옷을 입고 사치에 빠져 사는 사람은 왕궁에 있다.
26 그러면 무엇을 보려고 나갔느냐? 예언자냐? 그렇다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 요한은 예언자보다 더 위대한 인물이다.
27 이 사람에 대해 성경에 이렇게 기록됐다. '보라. 내가 네 앞에 내 사자를 보낸다. 그가 네 길을 네 앞서 준비할 것이다'
28 내가 너희에게 말한다. 여인에게서 난 사람 중에 요한보다 더 큰 사람은 없다. 그러나 하나님 나라에서는 가장 작은 사람이라도 요한보다 더 크다."
29 (요한의 설교를 들은 사람들과 심지어는 세리들도 요한의 세례를 받았고 하나님이 의로우신 분임을 드러냈습니다.
30 그러나 바리새파 사람들과 율법학자들은 요한에게 세례를 받지 않았고 자기들을 향한 하나님의 계획을 물리쳤습니다.)
31 "그러니 이 세대 사람들을 무엇에 비교할 수 있을까? 그들은 무엇과 같을까?
32 그들은 시장에 앉아서 서로 부르며 이렇게 말하는 아이들과 같다. '우리가 너희를 위해 피리를 불어도 너희는 춤추지 않았고 우리가 애곡해도 너희는 울지 않았다.'
33 세례자 요한이 와서 빵도 먹지 않고 포도주도 마시지 않자 너희는 '저 사람이 귀신 들렸다'라고 하며
34 인자가 와서 먹고 마시니 너희가 말하기를 '보라. 저 사람은 먹보에다 술꾼으로 세리와 죄인의 친구다'라고 말한다.
35 그러나 지혜의 자녀들이 결국 지혜가 옳다는 것을 인증하는 법이다."
36 한 바리새파 사람이 예수를 저녁 식사에 초대했습니다. 그래서 예수께서는 그 바리새파 사람의 집으로 들어가 식탁에 기대어 앉으셨습니다.
37 그 마을에 죄인인 한 여자가 있었는데 예수께서 그 바리새파 사람의 집에 계시다는 것을 알고는 향유가 든 옥합을 가지고 와
38 예수의 뒤로 그 발 곁에 서서 울며 눈물로 그분의 발을 적셨습니다. 그리고 자신의 머리카락으로 발을 닦고 그 발에 자신의 입을 맞추며 향유를 부었습니다.
39 예수를 초대한 바리새파 사람이 이 광경을 보고 속으로 말했습니다. '만약 이 사람이 예언자라면 자기를 만지는 저 여자가 누구며 어떤 여자인지 알았을 텐데. 저 여자는 죄인이 아닌가!'
40 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다. "시몬아, 네게 할 말이 있다." 그가 대답했습니다. "선생님, 말씀하십시오."
41 "어떤 채권자에게 빚을 진 두 사람이 있었다. 한 사람은 500데나리온을, 또 한 사람은 50데나리온을 빚졌다.
42 두 사람 다 빚 갚을 돈이 없어 채권자가 두 사람의 빚을 모두 없애 주었다. 그러면 두 사람 중 누가 그 채권자를 더 사랑하겠느냐?"
43 시몬이 대답했습니다. "더 많은 빚을 면제받은 사람이라고 생각합니다." 예수께서 말씀하셨습니다. "네 판단이 옳다."
44 그러고 나서 예수께서는 그 여인을 돌아보고 시몬에게 말씀하셨습니다. "이 여인이 보이느냐? 내가 네 집에 들어왔을 때 너는 내게 발 씻을 물도 주지 않았다. 그러나 이 여인은 자신의 눈물로 내 발을 적시고 자신의 머리카락으로 닦아 주었다.
45 너는 내게 입 맞추지 않았지만 이 여인은 내가 들어왔을 때부터 계속 내 발에 입 맞추고 있다.
46 너는 내 머리에 기름을 부어 주지 않았지만 이 여인은 내 발에 향유를 부어 주었다.
47 그러므로 내가 네게 말한다. 이 여인은 많은 죄를 용서받았다. 그것은 이 여인이 나를 많이 사랑했기 때문이다. 그러나 적게 용서받은 사람은 적게 사랑한다."
48 그러고 나서 예수께서 여인에게 말씀하셨습니다. "네 죄들이 용서받았다."
49 식탁에 함께 앉아 있던 사람들이 수군거리기 시작했습니다. "이 사람이 도대체 누군데 죄까지도 용서한다는 것인가?"
50 예수께서 여인에게 말씀하셨습니다. "네 믿음이 너를 구원했다. 평안히 가거라."

[Luke 7:1-50, ESV]
1 After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum.
2 Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.
3 When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant.
4 And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, "He is worthy to have you do this for him,
5 for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue."
6 And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof.
7 Therefore I did not presume to come to you. But say the word, and let my servant be healed.
8 For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, "I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith."
10 And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.
11 Soon afterward he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him.
12 As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her.
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep."
14 Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, "Young man, I say to you, arise."
15 And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.
16 Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and "God has visited his people!"
17 And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country.
18 The disciples of John reported all these things to him. And John,
19 calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to the Lord, saying, "Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?"
20 And when the men had come to him, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, 'Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?'"
21 In that hour he healed many people of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and on many who were blind he bestowed sight.
22 And he answered them, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.
23 And blessed is the one who is not offended by me."
24 When John's messengers had gone, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
25 What then did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are dressed in splendid clothing and live in luxury are in kings' courts.
26 What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
27 This is he of whom it is written,"'Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.'
28 I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."
29 (When all the people heard this, and the tax collectors too, they declared God just, having been baptized with the baptism of John,
30 but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.)
31 "To what then shall I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like?
32 They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling to one another,"'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.'
33 For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.'
34 The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'
35 Yet wisdom is justified by all her children."
36 One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house and reclined at table.
37 And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment,
38 and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner."
40 And Jesus answering said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he answered, "Say it, Teacher."
41 "A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
42 When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?"
43 Simon answered, "The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt." And he said to him, "You have judged rightly."
44 Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
45 You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little."
48 And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
49 Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, "Who is this, who even forgives sins?"
50 And he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

1 그 후에 예수께서는 여러 마을과 고을을 두루 다니시며 하나님 나라의 복음을 선포하셨습니다. 열두 제자들도 예수와 함께 동행했습니다.
2 악한 영과 질병으로부터 고침받은 여자들도 예수와 함께했습니다. 이들은 일곱 귀신이 떠나간 막달라 마리아였고
3 헤롯의 청지기인 구사의 아내 요안나 또 수산나와 그 밖의 많은 여인들이었습니다. 이들은 자신들의 재산으로 예수의 일행을 섬겼습니다.
4 많은 무리가 모여들고 각 마을에서 사람들이 예수께로 나아오니 예수께서 그들에게 비유를 통해 말씀하셨습니다.
5 "씨 뿌리는 사람이 씨를 뿌리러 나갔다. 그가 씨를 뿌리자 그중 어떤 씨는 길가에 떨어져 사람들에게 밟히고 하늘의 새들에게 다 먹혀 버렸다.
6 어떤 씨는 바위 위에 떨어졌는데 싹이 돋았지만 물기가 없어서 곧 시들어 버리고 말았다.
7 어떤 씨는 가시덤불 속에 떨어졌는데 가시덤불이 함께 자라서 그 기운을 막아 버렸다.
8 또 다른 씨는 좋은 땅에 떨어져 자라나 100배나 많은 열매를 맺었다." 예수께서 말씀을 마치고 큰 소리로 외치셨습니다. "들을 귀 있는 사람은 들으라!"
9 제자들은 예수께 이 비유가 무엇을 뜻하는지 물었습니다.
10 예수께서 말씀하셨습니다. "너희에게는 하나님 나라의 비밀을 알게 해 주었다. 그러나 내가 다른 사람들에게는 비유로 말했다. 이것은 '그들이 보아도 보지 못하고 들어도 깨닫지 못하게' 하려는 것이다.
11 비유의 뜻은 이와 같다. 씨는 하나님의 말씀이다.
12 길가에 떨어진 것은 하나님의 말씀을 들었으나 마귀가 와서 그 마음에서 말씀을 빼앗아 가는 바람에 믿지 못하고 구원받지 못하는 사람들이다.
13 바위 위에 떨어진 것은 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 기쁘게 받아들이지만 뿌리가 없어 잠시 동안 믿다가 시련이 닥치면 곧 넘어지는 사람들이다.
14 가시밭에 떨어진 것은 하나님의 말씀을 들었으나 이 세상의 걱정과 부와 쾌락에 사로잡혀서 자라지 못하고 온전한 열매를 맺지 못하는 사람들이다.
15 그러나 좋은 땅에 떨어진 것은 착하고 좋은 마음으로 하나님의 말씀을 들은 뒤 그 말씀을 굳게 간직하고 인내해 좋은 열매를 맺는 사람들이다.
16 등불을 켜서 그릇으로 덮거나 침대 밑에 두는 사람은 아무도 없다. 오히려 등불은 들어오는 사람들이 볼 수 있도록 등잔대 위에 두는 것이다.
17 숨겨 둔 것은 드러나고 감춰 둔 것은 알려지게 마련이다.
18 그러므로 너희는 내 말을 조심해서 들으라. 가진 사람은 더 받고 가지지 못한 사람은 가진 줄로 생각하는 것조차 빼앗길 것이다."
19 예수의 어머니와 형제들이 예수께로 왔으나 많은 사람들 때문에 예수께 가까이 갈 수가 없었습니다.
20 그래서 사람들이 예수께 말했습니다. "선생님의 어머니와 형제들이 선생님을 만나려고 밖에 서 있습니다."
21 예수께서 대답하셨습니다. "하나님의 말씀을 듣고 실천하는 사람이 바로 내 어머니요, 내 형제들이다."
22 하루는 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨습니다. "호수 저편으로 가자." 그래서 그들은 배에 올라타고 떠났습니다.
23 그들이 배를 저어 가는 동안 예수께서는 잠이 드셨습니다. 그때 호수에 사나운 바람이 불어오더니 배에 물이 들이쳐 매우 위험한 상황이 됐습니다.
24 제자들이 가서 예수를 깨우며 말했습니다. "선생님! 선생님! 우리가 모두 빠져 죽게 생겼습니다!" 그러자 예수께서 일어나 바람과 파도를 꾸짖으시니 폭풍이 멈추고 호수가 다시 잔잔해졌습니다.
25 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨습니다. "너희의 믿음이 어디에 있느냐?" 제자들은 두려움과 놀라움 속에서 서로 말했습니다. "이분이 도대체 누구시기에 바람과 물을 호령하시니 바람과 물조차도 이분께 복종하는가?"
26 예수의 일행은 갈릴리 호수 건너편 거라사 지방으로 배를 저어 갔습니다.
27 예수께서 배에서 내리시자 그 마을에 사는 귀신 들린 사람과 마주치셨습니다. 그는 옷도 입지 않은 채 집이 아닌 무덤에서 산 지 벌써 오래된 사람이었습니다.
28 그가 예수를 보자 소리를 지르며 예수의 발 앞에 엎드려 "지극히 높으신 하나님의 아들 예수여, 내가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있습니까? 제발 저를 괴롭히지 마십시오!"라고 찢어질 듯 큰 소리로 외쳤습니다.
29 이는 예수께서 그 사람에게서 나가라고 더러운 영에게 명령하셨기 때문입니다. (그 사람은 수시로 귀신에게 붙들렸는데 손발을 쇠사슬에 묶어 둬도 다 끊어 버리고 귀신에 이끌려 광야로 뛰쳐나가곤 했습니다.)
30 예수께서 그에게 물으셨습니다. "네 이름이 무엇이냐?" 그가 대답했습니다. "'군대'입니다." 그 사람 속에 귀신들이 많이 들어 있었기 때문입니다.
31 귀신들은 자기들을 지옥으로 보내지 말아 달라고 예수께 간청했습니다.
32 마침 많은 돼지 떼가 언덕에서 먹이를 먹고 있었습니다. 귀신들이 예수께 돼지들 속으로 들어가게 해 달라고 애원하자 예수께서 허락하셨습니다.
33 귀신들은 그 사람에게서 나와 돼지들에게 들어갔습니다. 그러자 돼지 떼는 비탈진 둑으로 내리달아 호수에 빠져 죽게 됐습니다.
34 돼지를 치던 사람들이 그 광경을 보고 달아나 마을과 그 일대에 이 일을 알렸습니다.
35 그래서 사람들도 이 광경을 보려고 나왔습니다. 그들이 예수께 가 보니 정말 그 귀신 들렸던 사람이 제정신이 들어 옷을 입고 예수의 발 앞에 앉아 있는 것이었습니다. 그러자 그들은 두려웠습니다.
36 처음부터 이 광경을 지켜본 사람들은 그 귀신 들렸던 사람이 어떻게 낫게 됐는지 그들에게 말했습니다.
37 그러자 거라사 주변의 모든 사람들은 두려움에 가득 차 예수께 떠나 달라고 간청했습니다. 그리하여 예수께서는 배를 타고 그곳을 떠나셨습니다.
38 귀신 들렸던 그 사람은 자신도 함께 가겠다고 예수께 애원했습니다. 그러나 예수께서는 그를 보내며 말씀하셨습니다.
39 "집으로 돌아가서 하나님께서 네게 하신 일을 다 말하여라." 그러자 그 사람은 온 마을을 다니며 예수께서 얼마나 큰일을 행하셨는지 전했습니다.
40 예수께서 돌아오시자 많은 사람들이 그분을 반겼습니다. 그들 모두가 예수를 기다리고 있었습니다.
41 그때 야이로라는 회당장이 와서 예수의 발 앞에 엎드리며 자기 집에 와 달라고 간절히 애원했습니다.
42 열두 살 된 자기 외동딸이 죽어 가고 있었기 때문입니다. 예수께서 그리로 내려가시는데 많은 사람들이 밀어 댔습니다.
43 그중에는 12년 동안 혈루병을 앓아 온 여인이 있었는데 의사들에게 재산을 모두 썼지만 어느 누구도 그 여인의 병을 고쳐 줄 수 없었습니다.
44 그 여인은 예수의 뒤로 비집고 다가가 그분의 옷자락에 손을 댔습니다. 그러자 즉시 출혈이 멈췄습니다.
45 그때 예수께서 "누가 내게 손을 댔느냐?"라고 물으셨습니다. 사람들이 모두 만지지 않았다고 하자 베드로가 말했습니다. "선생님, 많은 사람들이 선생님을 밀어 대고 있습니다."
46 그러자 예수께서 말씀하셨습니다. "누군가가 내게 손을 댔다. 내게서 능력이 나간 것을 알고 있다."
47 그러자 여인은 더 이상 숨길 수 없음을 알고 떨면서 앞으로 나와 예수의 발 앞에 엎드렸습니다. 여인은 모든 사람 앞에서 왜 예수께 손을 댔는지, 그리고 어떻게 병이 즉시 나았는지 말했습니다.
48 그러자 예수께서 여인에게 말씀하셨습니다. "딸아, 네 믿음이 너를 구원했다. 평안히 가거라."
49 예수께서 말씀을 채 마치시기도 전에 야이로 회당장의 집에서 사람이 와서 말했습니다. "따님이 죽었습니다. 선생님께 더 폐를 끼치지 않는 것이 좋겠습니다."
50 이 말을 듣고 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다. "두려워하지 마라. 믿기만 하면 아이가 나을 것이다."
51 예수께서는 야이로의 집에 이르러 베드로와 요한과 야고보와 아이의 부모 외에는 아무도 들어오지 못하게 하셨습니다.
52 사람들은 모두 그 아이에 대해 애도하며 크게 울고 있었습니다. 예수께서 말씀하셨습니다. "울지 마라. 이 아이는 죽은 것이 아니라 자고 있다."
53 그들은 아이가 죽은 것을 알기에 예수를 비웃었습니다.
54 그러나 예수께서 그 아이의 손을 잡고 말씀하셨습니다. "아이야, 일어나라!"
55 그때 그 아이의 영이 돌아와 아이가 곧 일어났습니다. 그러자 예수께서 아이에게 먹을 것을 갖다 주라고 말씀하셨습니다.
56 그 아이의 부모는 무척 놀랐습니다. 그러나 예수께서는 이 일을 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 그들에게 명령하셨습니다.

[Luke 8:1-56, ESV]
1 Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him,
2 and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.
4 And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable,
5 "A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it.
8 And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold." As he said these things, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
9 And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant,
10 he said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that 'seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.'
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away.
14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.
15 As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
16 "No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
17 For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
18 Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away."
19 Then his mother and his brothers came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd.
20 And he was told, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see you."
21 But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it."
22 One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side of the lake." So they set out,
23 and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger.
24 And they went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?"
26 Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 When Jesus had stepped out on land, there met him a man from the city who had demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes, and he had not lived in a house but among the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him and said with a loud voice, "What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me."
29 For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. (For many a time it had seized him. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, but he would break the bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.)
30 Jesus then asked him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Legion," for many demons had entered him.
31 And they begged him not to command them to depart into the abyss.
32 Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside, and they begged him to let them enter these. So he gave them permission.
33 Then the demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned.
34 When the herdsmen saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country.
35 Then people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.
36 And those who had seen it told them how the demon-possessed man had been healed.
37 Then all the people of the surrounding country of the Gerasenes asked him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and returned.
38 The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 "Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you." And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.
40 Now when Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus' feet, he implored him to come to his house,
42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.
As Jesus went, the people pressed around him.
43 And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone.
44 She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased.
45 And Jesus said, "Who was it that touched me?" When all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the crowds surround you and are pressing in on you!"
46 But Jesus said, "Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me."
47 And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed.
48 And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace."
49 While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler's house came and said, "Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more."
50 But Jesus on hearing this answered him, "Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well."
51 And when he came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child.
52 And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, "Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping."
53 And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.
54 But taking her by the hand he called, saying, "Child, arise."
55 And her spirit returned, and she got up at once. And he directed that something should be given her to eat.
56 And her parents were amazed, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.






겉으로 보이는 것으로 그 안의 내용물을 판단해서는 안 됩니다. 바리새인 시몬이 옥합을 깨트리는 여인을 보고 마음으로 생각하는 것이 그런 모양새 입니다. 예수님의 발을 눈물로 적시고 머리털로 닦으며 그 발에 입 맞추고 향유를 붓는 여인을 보면서 바리새인은 그녀가 왜 그렇게 하는지에 대한 이해보다 그녀에 대한 소문과 본인의 평가가 우선이었습니다.
시몬의 마음을 아신 예수님께서 짧은 비유를 들어 가르침을 주십니다. 스스로 의로움을 드러내는 바리새인 시몬과 누구나 죄인으로 인정하는 여인의 행동을 비교해 답을 주신 것입니다. 시몬은 예수님을 식사 자리에 초대했지만, 그가 보여준 모습은 향유를 부은 여인의 행동과는 달리 마음이 빠진 메마른 섬김이었습니다. 예수님께서는 여인의 섬김이 예수님께서 받을만한 참다운 모습이었음을 가르쳐주시며 시몬의 생각을 바로잡으십니다. 판단은 겉으로 보이는 것으로 하는 것이 아닙니다. 우리의 생각을 고쳐 하나님의 마음으로 볼 수 있기를 원합니다.

예수님께서는 한 비유를 통해 바리새인 시몬의 생각을 바로잡아주십니다.
